  • [32°03'15.1"N 34°45'20.9"E] The #metoo movement has pushed a lot of women’s rights issues into the daily public light. So, I want to just take a quick stab at an alternative perspective to women’s rights. . . Dudes, guys, gentlemen this is to you... women’s rights is a freaking fantastic thing. If we empower them to have equal footing in the work place, in relationships, in the media, and at home then they can only further their independence. Giving them more rights makes them more and more self sufficient. They don’t need us for money, for taking care of the home, for anything really. At this point if you have more traditional views you think those things hinder the family dynamic or maybe you even feel threatened about your position in society. I want to challenge you to reread what I just wrote thinking about this ... If a women doesn’t need you for all of the logistics of living that means she will get to choose you for who you actually want to be in this world and you will get to choose her for the same. The equal footing frees you to be whoever you want to be and do whatever it is you feel connected too because the same shackles of traditional relationships, both personal and work, that have been holding back women have also been boxing you in. . . She will choose you for who you are not what you have. That might scare those of you who are just shitty people, but to those of you who want your freedom and freedom for your sons to explore the world through an unboxed lens, you’re pretty pumped up about women’s rights. So if you can’t get on board with women’s rights because you just feel equal is best, get on board for your own freedom.

  • Being in a position of power does NOT mean you have the right to sexually harass women. Being in a position of authority does NOT give you authorization to abuse women in any way. Being in a position of prominence, does NOT enable you to assault women. Being a celebrity does NOT give you reign to grope women. Being an elected official does NOT permit you to make sexual overtures to minors. Being a male with any degree of influence or power does NOT empower you to harass, abuse, assault women in any way. All of these reprehensible acts are a direct abuse of that said power and subject to termination and punishable by law. It's time for the culture to change; it's time for the victims to speak up and be heard. It's time for there to be real repercussions for these unethical and vile acts by the perpetrators. It's time for the predators to be shamed and not the victims! It's not okay! It's no longer acceptable! • I think this should be posted in every men’s restroom as a reminder. Also in classrooms and locker rooms. Basically everywhere that men and boys go. Re-education is key. Art by @sincerelyolive_

  • In times where #metoo is strongly hyped to touch the limits of what can and what cannot. In times where @clitorosity travels the world to realize a movement of awareness around femininity and female sexuality. In times where women still search and claim for equal recognition and rights.... In those times we need strong women to spread the word 《women are warriors》made by @megzany • @mothershipfest • ⏩#yesyoucanspray is an intercultural female collective that aims to engage creative interventions in public space and empower local initiatives with and for the people ⏪ O o O o O o O #doitmonday #doityourself #streetcandy #streetart #streetart istry #streetart files #streetart photography #streetart news #streetart globe #streetart revolution #streetart _daily #streetart utopia #artisphere #artinthestreets #artoftheday #urbanart #wordporn #wallporn #wall #glam #streetart gallery #artistlife #streetstyle #artstagram #artsy #artoftheday #warriors

  • This shop/artist is profiting off the idea of a woman of color, as well as giving credit to a white woman for the idea. The shop completely dismissed @themetoomvmt when they pointed out that they created the movement. She then blocked me when I reached out to ask her to reconsider, give credit where it is due, and consider sharing the profits with the actual creator of the movement. It is UNACCEPTABLE to steal ideas from Black women. It is unacceptable to use those ideas for your own profit. It is unacceptable to take what you want from people of color and then tell them to "keep it positive", crap like this would make you feel negative, too. #blacklivesmatter #metoo

  • Thrilled to see one of our prints out there speaking up for others! Head over to @lovelyenterprises to procure your very own #notanobject tee #repost @laurenlearnslife ・・・ REAL TALK ➡︎ Sexual harassment & assault in Hollywood... and beyond. (Yes, I’m talking about serious shit today — sorry not sorry.) 🤷‍️ _ It’s safe to say that #metoo wasn’t just two little words women posted on social media. It was a MOVEMENT. A powerful push to create a collective force of women (and men) who vow to no longer be silenced. _ So many courageous souls have come forward with their stories of sexual harassment and assault. And as a result, there’s no longer a shadow, but a SPOTLIGHT , on men who abuse their power and prey upon those beneath them, especially in Hollywood. _ I’ve worked on TV and film sets for the last 8 years, as an actress and crew member, and I’ve repeatedly been subjected to this behavior. _ I’ve been bullied into wearing things I’m uncomfortable in, I’ve been touched and groped, I’ve ignored inappropriate behavior and remarks out of fear of losing my job (because I’m considered dispensable), and I’ve helplessly watched it happen to others. _ And most recently, I’ve seen a powerful, successful man who I once admired, who always treated me with respect and who hired me on his TV show, become the subject of a major sexual harassment and assault scandal. Although I escaped that situation unharmed, my heart goes out to those who weren’t so lucky. _ But it hits home. And MY GOD, we can do better. We HAVE to do better. We are people. WE ARE NOT OBJECTS. Each and every one of us is worthy of love, kindness and respect. We are worthy of it and we should DEMAND it. _ If you’ve ever been treated like an object— _ First: I am sorry. Second: Please speak up. _ The time is now. And don’t forget, there’s a whole army of badass bitches who have your back and won’t back down Xo. _ Please note: this is NOT an attack on ALL men. Thank you to the ones who stand with us and join us in this fight. We see you and we appreciate you! _ #LaurenLearnsLife
