  • Have you ever been in the gym and had some random person walk up and ask what protein you take? Maybe you just started at the gym and you were the one asking the question? • We all start somewhere and I am the last person who will turn down a question from someone who may be slightly naive and pass the opportunity to drop some quality knowledge! • You always hear people talking about being anabolic, but most people don't understand what that means. To be in an anabolic state, your body is building muscle and burning fat to maintain homeostasis. When you slip out of an anabolic state you drop into a catabolic state. What that means is that your body is burning muscle and storing fat to maintain homeostasis. This is obviously bad. • The only true way to avoid catabolism is to constantly be taking in a good, solid, lean protein throughout the day. This can be difficult at times, I'm a truck driver I understand, and when you don't have a chance to eat, you run the risk of dropping out of your anabolic state. Have 1st Phorm Level 1 gives you a chance to get a good protein in order to keep your body fueled.   • Have to say I look back on this picture quite often and I will never forget the work it took to do this for the first time two years ago. It was a transformation that changed my life not only because I got into the best shape of my life but it made me realize what the gym means to me, how important it is, and how lost I would be without it. I always tell people the gym is where I go to get away. Its like I’m in another world and the one place I can shut just about everything out and focus on the weights. No way I’d ever be where I am today without my number one supporter, best friend, and girlfriend Danielle Albright as well as my coaches Charmayne and Larry Jackson.   • I don't brag about 'PRs' much but this one I am going to because I worked my balls off for it the last year. - 475lbs, conventional with about a 5 second pause. I didn't even know my back could handle conventional until last month haha. - My last PR was sumo, at 415. Back is getting stronger finally and I'm pretty excited. I went for 500 and got it half way but I was out of gas. - Had I known I could lift this much I woulda attacked my strategy a little differently, but next time! Now I'm going back to work, 500 is finally my NEW GOAL! Which I WILL get. - My butt came up a little higher than I wanted to but I was really focusing on not hitching or ramping. - Good day for me, I did nothing else because I have no pre workout left in me or energy after that. Cardio then headed to Greenville for some basketball games! - Have a great Tuesday, go do something crazy.

  • My leg days are evolving and I like it. Still don’t like lunges and I’m finding out they stay hard.
