Today is February 14th and you know what that means?! It's Valentine's Day!

So many girls get surprised when I tell them I am perfectly at peace with being single and that I am completely at peace during this season of my life (I actually really enjoy it). But I understand that a lot of girls don't feel this way. So, I'd like to leave a word of encouragement to all of my single sisters out there! If you aren't in a relationship or if you're enjoying life without a guy right now, that's okay! Despite how the world and this super commercialized holiday may make you feel, you're perfectly special as you are--with or without a man by your side.

I know for a lot of girls it's easy to let Satan's lies creep in on this day. You see the commercials and your friends getting gifts and all the "perfect couple" Instagram photos and it makes you feel unloved and undesirable. But I have news for you: you are neither of these things!
You are immensely loved by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! To Him you are beautiful. You are perfect. You are radiant. And you are enough. He loved you so much that He died for you. And He constantly chases down your heart every day. His love is wider and deeper than our minds can even fathom. He loves you despite your flaws, mistakes, or failures. He loves you entirely and completely.

So if you're in a season of singleness, don't be discouraged. God has you here for a reason. Being single isn't a curse and it isn't a bad thing. It's a gift that God has given you to help you desire Him more than anything or anyone else. When it's your time to be with your special someone, God will bring him along. Until then, chase your Savior first. Look for the gestures of His love throughout the day--in the beautiful sunset, the kindness of a stranger, or a beautiful star-lit sky. Chase the One who matters and find complete contentment in His love. ❤❤❤ #valentinesday #happyvalentinesday #singlebuthappy #lovingmysavior

I feel the same. I am single, and i have always been, but i am happy like that. I have never felt romantic feelings towards someone. In fact, it may sound weird but i feel like this kind of love isn't necessary in my life. To me, developing friendship, family bonds and inconditional love are more important. Many people don't understand and find me weird, but i am perfectly fine this way. Even if sometimes i wonder how romantic love feels like, that it seems like a beautiful feeling, i don't feel like i need it. To some people, it is necessary, and i totally understand that, but i am happy that i don't feel left out or down because i don't have a lover. I hope your words will cheer those who feel lonely. Great message

@airbender2.0 Praise God! I'm glad this touched you! I completely understand you! I don't have that necessity either. I think it's so sad that young girls, or girls in general, feel like they have to be in a relationship to prosper in life. I think that family, self love, and love for Christ are way more important. Relationships aren't bad, but it becomes a problem when your entire life revolves around that idea. I hope you enjoy today and have an awesome day! Eat lots of candy and chocolate! 🍬🍭
